πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŽ— Iowa looses two Police Officers overnight in ambush attacks on Des Moines patrols

United States: Lastnight on the streets of Des Moines, Iowa, a  sad nightmare unfolded for local law enforcement. Be it assignation, execution , murder or all of the these termsdetainef , two Officers were ambushed and shot killed. This is an evolving situation and we will update this blog as more comes to hand.

Shortly after DMPD released identify information on the suspect, the alleged offender was detained.

Tributes and condolences flowed over social media as the US mourner yet anither targeted killing of police officers.

One of the hardest jobs a Public Information Officer has to do…. a moving 1am media briefing on the death of two Iowa Police Officers and some comments on the “clear and present danger” to Des Moines Police Officers.

Urbandale High School classes reported cancelled in response to “slayings of 2 metro police officers. One ambush was near high school”

Update 6:30 am USCT: Reports are sadly coming in of two police officer line off duty deaths in Iowa. 

The Departments involved are:

  • Urbandale Police Deartment
  • Des Moines Police

The news is breaking, however it is understood a UPD Officer was shot dead in an ambush style attack. It is understood that a nearby DMPD Officer was responding and, blocks away, was fatally shot. Both Officers are reported to have been seated in their police vehicle.
